I work with great women who are so dedicated to their professions, but also know the value of a work/life balance and having a fun time.

To me, work/life balance means:

I love coming to work each day because: I enjoy the team I work with at Stanwell and together we achieve great things. Assisting people who have been flood affected or are in serious crisis means you know you are making their life better, even just a little bit.

To me, work/life balance means: Being able to switch off when it is family time. It’s a skill to work on, especially when you love your job. It can be hard to put it aside time for children / partner / friends / holidays uninterrupted. It’s especially difficult when doing work with a charity which operates on the basis of crises which can happen any time of the day or night. (more…)
