September 2008Editor's letterDear Babes, Bonjour Babes! Is it just me or is there a distinctly French perfume wafting through the air? There definitely seems to be a French focus at the moment ... stripy sailor tees are everywhere you look, those delectable French macaroons are being touted as the new cupcake. And then of course, there is Carla Bruni.

We are on this same bandwagon, so for the rest of 08 Babes is taking on a decidedly French flavour ... s'il vous plaît! Fellow Babes director Kristin Devitt and I are off to Paris Fashion Week at the end of September with fashion experts Elizabeth Clarke (stylesolutions, Q Weekend) and Rachel Moore-Bryce (stylesolutions, Kisses & Little Kisses boutiques). Needless to say we are très excited! We will be experiencing the best Paris has to offer - from fashion (Collette Dinnigan show), vintage markets and champagne to food, galleries and much much more. We will be reporting back with a series of journals on our trip so you can enjoy all the sights, sounds, tastes and people watching that Paris has to offer. Make sure you stay tuned for our Postcards from Paris ... The Annual Lunch, our signature event for the year, is fast approaching! We are delighted to announce our wonderful friends at Triumph are joining us again as our Platinum Partner, and of course ... the French theme continues with the official launch of this year's lunch moniker - The Triumph 2008 Vive les Babes Babes in Business Lunch. We will be releasing more information on this event in the coming weeks but the most important task for Babes right now - mark your diaries for Friday November 28, dust off your 'out to a long lunch' sign, and get ready to enjoy the most fabulous women's lunch in town!
