Editor's letter

Dear Babes,

A very good friend of mine opines that each year's social season starts from Melbourne Cup and runs to Australia Day ... Spring is with us ... and so too the early stages of celebrating the triumphs of 2007!

By the by ... this year we are joined once more by our gorgeous friends at Triumph for the The 2007 Triumph Annual Babes in Business Lunch!

Our signature event each year, the annual lunch is an opportunity for all Babes to mark the end of another working year and enjoy a few hours of fun and frivolity, while at the same time saluting the tremendous talents of our Babes community.

Over at Babes HQ, we are frenetically making arrangements for the event and are in contact with the many Babes and their organisations' supporting our community through sponsorship.

Please contact us if you also would like to take up the opportunity to sponsor this year's lunch and let all Babes know about your business.

I read recently that 30% of us are single ... this month we take a look at opposite poles - Bron McClain tells us how relationships with men come in all shapes while Martha Maciejowski updates an old, but modern theme of the spinster in training.

Anne Barklimore reports on Youngcare's progress and announces the completion of the first Youngcare facility at Jindalee!! I can't tell you how enormously thrilled we are for Youngcare on this achievement. Kristin, Marc and myself are looking forward to the opening on 8 December and we encourage everyone to support Youngcare as they continue their work to open new sites.

This year we continue our fundraising support of Youngcare at our annual lunch, ensuring facilities are available for high-care young individuals. Together we can make a difference.

Our recent Foster's Miss-Behaving for August was a fantastic night on Friday 31 August, with our own Bron McClain officiating as 'Babe of Ceremonies'.

Thank you to our sponsors Foster's and Ord Minnett for their on-going support and to the Saville South Bank for hosting us on what was a lovely evening.

Speaking of South Bank, this month you can win $200 worth of dining vouchers at numerous South Bank restaurants.

In case you were wondering where our fabulous Kristin is this month, she has been part of the team bringing you the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival which our resident Style columnist Esma Versace has been following, reporting on the collections from Easton Pearson and Jayson Brundson.

I also continue my 12 Week Better Skin Challenge with Outshine and Lisa is kicking goals with Georgie & Hector in the 12 Week Better Babe Challenge.

Our next event is the Foster's Miss-Behaving October ... we look forward to seeing you there!

Have a fabulous month!
