The Committee gathered for the first time recently and it was a meeting of the minds! This group of dedicated and motivated women definitely have what it takes to raise awareness of Youngcare. We are looking to source some fabulous prizes for the Youngcare raffle at the Foster's Miss-Behaving events. If you are able to assist with a donation we would love to hear from you!

AROUND TOWN
Those of you wandering around Ferny Grove and Strathpine during April might have been wondering if you had been transported to the set of Ugly Betty. The staff at Susan Barber Orthodontist held Ugly Betty days in support of Youngcare. It was great to see these Babes doing something exciting and different to raise funds. Check out those glasses!

RIGHT NOW
As for me, I have been challenged to jump off a perfectly good cliff along with a group fellow mortgage brokers on Friday 4 May at Kangaroo Pont cliffs. Those who know me will know that all of those cliché phrases like "pushing the envelope" and "outside her comfort zone" do not even come close to the fear that will be pulsing through my veins - I get sick on a ferris wheel - what will a cliff face do to me?

Ugly Betty Day

Because I can see no benefit to my own life from abseiling, (I have been heard to mutter that God put me on this EARTH for a reason) I have decided to make the event worthwhile.

I am calling on all friends, family, colleagues, fellow Babes members and random people in the street to either sponsor me or make a donation in support of Youngcare.

As Chairperson of the Babes in Business Youngcare committee, leading by example is a good way to kick off the year!
