Editor's letter

Dear Babes,

How exciting is the change of season? Admittedly, this year it's more than a little late, and in fact this week I could have sworn that Brisbane was experiencing the famous "Ekka westerlies".

Sublime

I love the crispness of autumn, and the fact that running between meetings, trips to the park and even a spot of Saturday shopping is a much more comfortable proposition.

Speaking of shopping, don't miss Esme Versace's column this month on the Top 10 things we need this winter, Tracey Millard's hilarious look at toe cleavage and Julie Kelso's feminist approach to women's love of clothes.

In fact there is fantastic reading across the board on site this month, so take some time to have a good browse.

We also review our recent Miss-Behaving event at Emporium's depot where we introduced new partner Ord Minnett, as well as enjoyed, courtesy of Fosters, gorgeous Wolf Blass Yellow Label Chardonnay and the new Yellowglen Jewel Yellow and Yellowglen Jewel Pnk - with 30% less calories - hooray! Sparkling with no guilt!

By the time the fifth month of the year rolls around, everyone seems to be getting busier and busier with calendars filling up and projects in full swing.

But I recommend you put June 2 and 3 in your diary for The High Tea Party at the Stamford Plaza, for the ultimate day out with your best girlfriends. It's a great gift idea for Mother's Day as well.

And on behalf of the team at Babes in Business we wish all of our Babe Mums the happiest day, may it involve as much sleep and champagne as so you so desire!

Speaking of peace, my words of wisdom for May are those by Reinhold Niebuhr. I hope they inspire you too:

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Happy reading!
