Editor's letter
Dear Babes,
Another week is zipping by.
Symptomatic of our modern lives, every single Babe and bloke I speak with complains of a lack of time, looming deadlines and information overload.

It is true that we are inundated on a daily, hourly basis with more information than many of our brains can compute.
If anyone finds the magic solution they shouldnt share - they should bottle it, sell it and retire.
Last week at our first Babes Bites seminar - Brand-Aid, I was chatting with our talented panel of speakers before the workshop about this modern malaise.
How to manage the information onslaught? Turn on emails only twice a day. Put the phone on message. Leave the phone at home.
All great ideas, but for many of us who work in service oriented professions, such as media and communications, accessibility is critical.
We need to be available for clients, to respond to issues as they arise, to meet with them and to quickly turnaround materials.
How anyone survived without email is beyond me. But in many cases emails have replaced letters as formal correspondence that often requires thoughtful consideration before a response is prepared.
The immediacy of this technology means though that people expect an almost immediate response. No wonder we all feel like were chooks running around with our heads chopped off half the time.
The challenges of managing technology, be it emails or website and time management, are just two of the hot topics we are looking at for future Babes Bites Seminars. We will have more news on these soon.
Right now at Babes HQ its all about Sex. Im looking forward to meeting many of you on Thursday night at our premiere movie event - Sex and the City - in partnership with Fosters and Loaves and Fishes at The Regent. Be there at 5pm sharp to enjoy cosmos and some great networking before the film. Four Babes will become our very own Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda winning our fabulous packages on the night.
And well be fresh as daisies for our event, the Friday morning after in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Management when we present Di Fingleton talking Resilience.
And as always - there is some great reading on site again this month!
Enjoy!
