The story so far

One day eight years ago a couple of Babes got chatting over a drink about the awe-inspiring talent of so many women they knew in business yet the lack of opportunities in the corporate domain to showcase such talent and success.

These Babes also felt passionate about the need for women to take time out from the pressures placed upon them in business and in their family lives and as a result the Babes in Business lunch was held for the first time in December 2000.

It was an outstanding success and Babes haven't looked back since. It is now an annual lunch which brings together 100's of Brisbane's top women in business and has become a fixture on the Brisbane events calendar. This much loved event provides an opportunity for women to build business relationships in a relaxed social setting and has been the impetus for building the Babes concept further.

Since 2005, Babes in Business Directors have provided membership opportunities, a dedicated website and a calendar of signature Babes in Business events.

For members of Babes in Business, the benefits of tapping into this amazing collection of female powerbrokers are enormous.

The term Babe reflects the sassy, vibrant attitude of our members. Being a Babe is all about that attitude, not appearance. Babes in Business is also about having a sense of fun while still achieving in your chosen profession and industry.
