About us
Babes and the community
Babes in Business is committed to making a positive contribution
to our community through fundraising initiatives.

This foundation was set up to
raise money to build the first of many houses providing a dignified
and relevant lifestyle for young people with high care needs. Your
anticipated support is greatly appreciated.

The foundation was inspired by Shevaune Conry, a young Brisbane
woman suffering from the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
Currently, as a young person requiring high care attention, Shevaune
faced the prospect of having to be placed into an aged care home.
At 33 years old, it seemed simply not right.
However, there are very few high care homes in Australia dedicated
to people under 45. It was this fact that motivated Shevaunes
husband, David and a group of dedicated friends to launch Youngcare.
The Youngcare Foundation aims to provide the first high care facility
to be located in Brisbane, and then to move on to provide others
throughout Australia.
Since 2006, the Babes in Business community has raised over
$50,000 for Youngcare.
